school bus = that extra room

i'm sorry i didn't write in almost a month.
What kind of blogger am i?

ok, i don't know why the lag, exactly
there was a lot going on but didn't really feel like writing about it

all the moving, sorting, packing, purging, storing old stuff
...and what to bring with me into the school-bus

yes! today i moved into a school bus

as i write this there is an amazing chorus or tree frogs and crickets
and right out my front porch (yes, a porch build alongside the bus)
there are a million stars in the sky on a clear winter night
and here in northern CA it's like june, kind of freakishly warm

had my first meal tonight with some of the residents here
was truly amazing food and great conversations
and much laughter at one of the eight year olds here (who's name i'll keep out of it)
who's written a book filled with incredibly funny character names

i've only been here for a few hours and i feel like i'm with my people

it's like that dream where you're in that extra room you didn't know you had
...or had just forgotten
