two weeks ago the pond was severely low but it's been dumping rain, it looks like a primordal rain forest around here, mosses and grasses turning bright green. Today i saw many mushrooms, including some bright yellow ones that looked like little gobs of jelly.
Went up to the pond today to learn about the water system, it's just one foot shy of cresting at the top, a welcome sight indeed.
...and the frogs are going crazy with all this water, a chorus of croaks.
Today i also put in my resume for the full time job that's become available here. I really want to stick around here more than a year, and hope i get the position.

My cell phone is still lost, i might just give up on it entirely, and considering doing without.
...and now i can't find the camera, it's around here somewhere
